Swedish Redwood

Although Swedish redwood is a softwood, it remains one of the toughest materials used in the construction of benches and tables. Capable of withstanding large amounts of weight, our pub benches and picnic tables will still be standing strong after years of constant use. Redwood is resistant to decay and insects.

Austrian White Wood

In contrast, whitewood is commonly used for boxes, crates or carcassing with a lot going into the manufacture of pulp and paper

Beech Wood Lumber is primarily reddish-brown in color and slightly coarse with conspicuous rays and tiny pores. The grain is straight with a fine, even texture. High crush strength, medium stiffness and resistance to shock and excellent bending characteristics. Sizes available 4/4, 8/4.

Block Board

Blockboard is composed of a core of softwood strips (up to about 25mm wide) placed edge to edge and sandwiched between veneers of hardwood, the ‘sandwich’ is then bonded under high pressure.
An interior grade adhesive is normally used, so blockboard is not suitable for use out of doors.
When using blockboard for such items as a door or a long table, make sure the core runs lengthways to give maximum strength. Blockboard can be used for shelves, doors, paneling and partitions.
Blockboard is normally available in 2440 x 1220 sheets (or subdivisions), thicknesses tend to be limited to around 30mm.

Fancy and Normal Plywood

Fancy plywood is much more expensive than ordinary commercial plywood. In general, the price of fancy/back veneer (outer veneer) is 2~6 times that of ordinary hardwood/back veneer (such as red hardwood veneer, Okoume veneer, red Canarium veneer, poplar paste) Face, pine veneer, etc.)
